"Former president George Bush is in St. Louis tonight. Bush will
attend a fundraiser tonight for U.S. Senate candidate Jim Talent at the Millenium
Hotel downtown. Bush and Talent will meet briefly with the media prior
to the fundraiser in about 30 minutes. Talent is challenging incumbent
Democrat Jean Carnahan next November. Now we’re going to have more
on the former President Bush’s visit to St. Louis tonight on Fox 2 News at
nine o’clock."

NP: "Missouri Senator Jean Carnahan is urging Congress to pass
an economic stimulus package. In the Democratic radio address, Carnahan
said low consumer confidence and a loss of millions of jobs mean lawmakers
should act quickly."

JC voice: “It would a real stimulus for our nation's economy and
meaningful assistance to workers and families in need. It would extend

package does little to help working families. She is pushing for
the Senate version which focuses on aid for the unemployed.”
