MATALIN WILL SPEAK AT LUNCH FOR TALENT

The following is an excerpt from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch "Local Briefs" piece, published on Tuesday, December 4, 2001.

Mary Matalin, a former commentator and now an adviser in the administration of President George W. Bush, is slated to be the headliner today at a luncheon for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jim Talent.

About 600 women are expected to attend the $20-a-person event, which begins at noon at the Radisson Hotel in Clayton, a Talent spokesman said. Other women Republicans expected to speak on behalf of Talent include state House Minority Leader Catherine Hanaway of Warson Woods.
